Assign custom descriptions to permanent earning cycles
Use the
to assign custom column descriptions to replace the default column descriptions on the Permanent Earnings Cycle page, and to indicate which cycles to display on the Permanent Earnings Cycle page.Prerequisites
To use this page, you must have the Permanent Earnings Cycle option enabled by your Customer Support Team, and you must have permanent earnings elements set up.
Tasks

Open the
- In the Custom Column Description fields, enter a custom description to display on the Permanent Cycle Earnings page.

Select the Display on Permanent Earnings Cycle page checkbox to display the custom column description (or the default description) on the Permanent Earnings Cycle page and in the Permanent Earnings Cycle list box on the
Note: Customized descriptions are optional. The default descriptions will display as long as the corresponding Display on Permanent Earnings Cycle page checkbox is selected.

(Auto Submit payrolls only) If Permanent Earnings Defaults (Based on Payment Date) or Permanent Earnings Defaults (Based on PPE Date) is selected from the Permanent Earnings Cycle drop-down menu on the , a Permanent Earnings Defaults column displays to the far right.
For each cycle with the Display on Permanent Earnings Cycle page checkbox selected, Powerpay displays a list under the Permanent Earnings Defaults column. Make the appropriate selection.
- Click Save.
Results
Powerpay displays your custom column descriptions on the Permanent Earnings Cycle page.
Field Information

(View-only) Displays the default cycle column descriptions that are currently set up.

Enter descriptions for each column that will appear on the Permanent Earnings Cycle page.

To display a custom column description on the Permanent Earnings Cycle page, select the check box in the row corresponding to the custom description.
