Disable a user

Use the disable feature to temporarily disable a user's access to Powerpay, for example if the user is on holiday or on a temporary leave from work. Disabled users are unable to log on to the Powerpay payroll from which they are disabled.

The Disable User function is only available when more than one user is attached to a payroll.

Tasks

  1. Log on to the payroll from which to disable the user.

  2. Go to the User & Contact Mgmt page.Closed From the Company menu, select User & Contact Mgmt.

  3. Click the for the User ID to disable. The Contact Information and User Maintenance sections display.

  4. In the User Settings section, click Disabled.

  5. Click Save. A warning message displays indicating that the user is disabled and no longer has access to the Powerpay payroll.

Note: The enable/disable functionality is payroll specific. To enable or disable a user from multiple payrolls, the process must be completed for each payroll.
