WCB Assessable Earnings are set each year and differ depending on the province. Click here to access the information.

View WCB assessable earnings on a payroll:

  1. Go to the Payroll Reports page.Closed From the Reports menu, select Payroll Reports.

  2. In the Standard Reports Package, view the Payroll Register Summary.

    Below the Deduction Cheques Issued on Your Behalf section, you will see the WCB Earnings.

    Assessable earnings appear to the right of the applicable province code and the value is based on how your earning codes are set up in our system. For concerns about the amount, contact your Customer Support Team to review the code set-ups to confirm they are correct.

View WCB assessable earnings by employee:

  • In your Year-End Balancing Report on the T4/T4A Employee Totals page. To access the report, go to the Payroll Reports page.Closed From the Reports menu, select Payroll Reports.

Your year-end reports package includes a WCB Assessable Earnings Summary.

GROSS ASSESSABLE EARNINGS: This figure is a total of all earnings and taxable benefits for each employee based on each item being flagged with a “Y” in the WCB column of the EARNINGS MATRIX and the DEDUCTION/BENEFIT MATRIX .

ASSESSABLE: This figure is based on the same criteria as the GROSS ASSESSABLE EARNINGS figure except the employee maximum is applied to each employee.

MAXIMUM: This figure is the per employee yearly maximum based on province displayed. It is this maximum that is being used for the calculation of the ASSESSABLE figure. If there are no employees that reached the maximum assessable earnings for the year the GROSS ASSESSABLE EARNINGS figure will equal the ASSESSABLE figure.
