Year-End reports
The
allows you to view, print or download information from Year-end Adjustment runs or Tax Form runs.This page is updated each time a year-end adjustment run is submitted, or tax forms are requested. The type of request determines the reports displayed on the page.

When tax forms are signaled to produce with the last run of the year the

- CPP/QPP Deficiency Report

When tax forms are not signaled to produce with the last run of the year, the
will not include the Tax Forms Package.Prior to requesting tax forms, ensure your year-to-date totals are correct. If adjustments are required, submit a year-end run. Once your report totals are confirmed, request tax forms through IVR.

Note: Certain reports may take some time to load due to their size, or may display on their side. In Adobe Reader, click View > Rotate View > Clockwise or Counterclockwise, or click the Rotate Clockwise or Rotate Counterclockwise buttons on the toolbar to rotate the page.
Prerequisites
In order to view reports, the pay period you want to report on must have completed processing.
Note: You must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer to read documents in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Click here if you do not have it.
Tasks

- Open the
- Select the year to view from the Reports for list. The Year field defaults to the most current year for which Powerpay has your year-end reports in the database. Click on the down arrow button to select a previous year, if archived reports from previous years are available.
- Click Go.
- Click View to open the report.
Note: Year-end reports are available in Powerpay 24 hours after the tax forms are produced
Tip: To view your employer totals, scroll down to the T4 Recap report.

The back side of Canadian tax forms (T4, T4A, Releve 1, Releve 2 and NR4) are available for print so employees can receive both sides of the form.
The Back of Tax Form section is available at the top of the
that provides access to the back of the tax forms that are part of the reports package. The PDF report package contained in the Tax Forms – Employee Copy file does not include the back of the page.- Navigate to the

Select the back of the tax form to print from the Tax Form drop-down list in the Back of Tax Form section.
Note: It is recommended that the information portion of the tax form be printed and distributed to each employee with the portion contained in the Tax Forms - Employee Copy file.

Click Go!
A PDF file of the back of the selected form opens in a new browser window. English and French are available.

Use the browser print option to print the file.

By default, only employer copies of tax forms are stored in Powerpay. Copies for employees can be reprinted using one of the following methods:

Employees setup with Self Service can retrieve the form using Self Service. Provide the following instructions to the employee.

In Self Service, go to the Year End Forms page (Earnings > Year End Forms) to view and print your year-end tax forms.
Note: You must have explicitly consented to receive your year-end tax form(s) as electronic statements instead of having them printed and sent to you.

Select the Year End Forms tab and click the arrow button ( > ) to expand the year.
You can also filter the list by date using the From and To calendar fields and Filter button.
- Select the tax form you want to view, and the application opens the flyout viewing pane.

Click the Print button to open the Print dialog.
The application displays the Save as PDF option by default. Click the Save button to save the item as a PDF file.
To print the item, click the Change button to select a printer destination, and then click the Print button.
Depending on how your web browser is set up, PDF files might open in Adobe Acrobat Reader in a separate window. You can also save or print the PDF files from within Acrobat Reader.

Paperless customers
Employee has not enrolled for Self Service
Locate the employee form in the Tax Forms - Employee Copy file and print it.
Employee has enrolled for Self Service

Advise the employee to retrieve the form from Self Service.
or
- Locate the employee form in the Tax Forms - Employer Copy file and print. Amend the printed copy before distributing it to the employee.
- Black out the business number in box 54.
- Indicate DUPLICATE on the copy.
- Sign the tax form.
All other customers

Locate the employee form in the Tax Forms - Employer Copy file and print.

Create a replacement by retrieving a blank form from the CRA website. Indicate DUPLICATE on the new form.

Your tax form sort order is displayed on the General Tax Form Information and Earnings and Deduction/Benefit Reference Tables, item no. 2., found in your year-end reports package.
While the primary sort for all year-end reports and forms is by Business Number, you have the option of choosing 2 additional sort options.
For example, if you would like your tax forms sorted Numerically (employee number) within Department (DC code), you would specify:
- the Main sort as ‘Department’ and
- the Second sort as ‘Numeric’
This will result in tax forms and year-end reports sorted by: employee number, within Department (DC code), within Business Number.
