Produce ROEs with less than one year of history with Dayforce

Has the ROE been requested and produced?

  • No:
    • Were you in business and paying employees prior to becoming a customer of Dayforce?
    • Was the employee requiring the ROE employed prior to you using Dayforce services?
      If you answered no to either of the above questions, you can proceed with requesting ROE in Powerpay.
      If you answered yes to either of the above questions:
      1. Go to Insurable Earnings Adjustments page.Closed From the Payroll menu, select ROE / Employee Status Change > Insurable Earnings Adjustments.
      2. Select View Employee EI History from the Actions to be Taken list.
      3. Click Next.
      4. Use the EI History displayed to manually create an ROE by adding this data to your previous data.

        Note: If you are a new Dayforcecustomer, you may only see insurable history for your employees from the time you started processing payroll with Dayforce. If you require an ROE to show insurable hours and earnings for pay periods prior to being a Dayforce customer, and require Dayforce assistance, you will be required to complete a spreadsheet stating the figures for each employee for each pay period. Service fees apply to rebuild the employee’s EI history. Contact your Customer Support Team to obtain the spreadsheet and discuss timelines to complete.

  • Yes, without the employee's full history, you will need to produce an amended ROE and submit it manually to Service Canada. If multiple ROEs are impacted, contact your Customer Support Team to determine if an alternate solution may be possible.
