Log on to Powerpay
Before using Powerpay, you require the following information:

Company ID - Your Company ID is provided to you by Dayforce, and cannot be changed. Your Company ID is seven characters.

User ID - Your User ID is provided to you by Dayforce, and cannot be changed.
Log on to Powerpay for the first time
Powerpay's secure logon requires that you enter or select the following credentials for access to Powerpay.
- company number
Important: The 7-character Company Number for your payroll is required to complete the process. You must have this number to successfully complete the process.
- user ID
Powerpay uses verification to ensure the security of your payroll data. Logging on correctly is the only way to access your payroll information.
To log on to Powerpay for the first time:

Click the link in step 1 in the Access to Powerpay section of the welcome email.
A Powerpay logon page opens.

Enter the Company Number associated with your User ID.

Click Submit.
The Password Restrictions page opens.

Enter a new password. The password must be at least 8 characters in length. For more help with creating a password that meets Powerpay requirements, see Log on to Powerpay and Log on to Powerpay.

Confirm the new password.

Click Continue.
The Password set up process is complete. You will receive a confirmation email that the password was successfully changed.

Click Continue to login with the new password.
- Enter your company number in the Company Number field. Your Company number is seven characters.
- Enter your User ID in the User ID field.

(Optional) Select the Remember me on this computer check box to have Powerpay fill in your company number and user ID automatically the next time you access Powerpay from the same computer.
Note: Do not select this option if you are accessing Powerpay from a public computer.

Click Continue.
The second Powerpay Logon page opens.

Enter your password and then click Logon.
Your company is set up to use multifactor authentication or a security image. Follow the directions for your company setup.
Multifactor Authentication
Select the authentication method you would like to use.
Dayforce recommends the Smartphone App (Twilio Authy Smartphone App). You can also select SMS Text Message, Voice Call, or Email. If you select multiple methods, you are required to set up and verify each one.
Twilio Authy Smartphone App

Click Next.

Select your country code from the drop-down list.

In the Primary Phone Number field, enter the phone number to use to deliver the unique code that will be used to verify your identity when you log in to Powerpay. Using your mobile phone as your primary number is recommended. If you don’t have a cell phone, you can enter a land line number.

(optional) Add a secondary phone number.

Select the Include Secondary Phone Number checkbox.

Enter your secondary phone number in the Secondary Phone Number field.

Click Next.

Dayforce verifies the numbers provided for authentication. A one-time 6-digit code will be sent to the phone number you entered. Select the method by which you want to receive your code, text message or voice call.

Enter the 6-digit code you received.
If you did not receive the code, click Resend code to resend the code to the same number. Additionally, you can change the method of receiving the code by clicking the link below Resend code.

Click Next.
If you selected a secondary phone number, that number is verified as well.

Install the Twilio Authy app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store. Do not manually add accounts, they are added automatically during the verification process.
Note: Be sure to look for the logo shown in the image to the right and verify that it is the Twilio Authy app when making your selection in the Apple or Google Play store.

Once you have installed the Twilio Authy app, click Next.

Click on your account in the Twilio Authy app on your phone. A 7-digit security code displays. The code is valid for 20 seconds before a new code is generated.
If you receive a message that you don’t have any accounts, close, and reopen the app.

On the Multifactor Authentication page, enter the 7-digit code shown in the Twilio Authy app.

Click Next before the code expires.
SMS Text Message or Voice Call

Click Next.

Select your country code from the drop-down list.

If you selected a secondary phone number, that number is verified as well.
Email

Click Next.

Enter your email address to use for logging in with MFA.

Click Next.

An email including a one-time 7-digit code is sent to your email address. Your Powerpay MFA security code expires and can only be used once. If your code expires before you enter it, you will need to request a new one by clicking Resend code.

Enter the 7-digit code you received.
-
Click Next.
Your verification is complete. Click Continue.
Security Image
The security image page opens.
- Select a security image from the grid, or select an image category from the Image Category list to display more choices until you find one you like and select it.

Click Save.
A message confirms that your security image is saved and Powerpay displays the image and its label.
- Click Continue.

Powerpay displays a user license agreement.

Review the agreement and select I accept the terms of the license agreement.

Click Continue.
- Powerpay displays a privacy policy.
-
Select I accept the terms of the Privacy Policy, and then click Continue.

Powerpay opens the Personal Verification Questions page.

Select four or more unique Personal Verification Questions, each with its own answer. You will be required to answer one of these questions during the password recovery process. Use questions to which only you would know the answers. At the same time, make sure you do not use questions to obscure you won't remember the answers a few months from now.
- Click Continue.

Powerpay opens and displays the Info Centre page. The Info Centre page contains helpful hints, important dates and other information that can help you with payroll tasks. Information on this page is updated regularly by Dayforce.
You are ready to begin working with Powerpay.
Subsequent log in to Powerpay
- Click Login on the www.dayforce.com/ca home page.

Click Powerpay Login.
The Powerpay Log On page opens.
- Enter your company number in the Company Number field. Your Company number is seven characters.
- Enter your User ID in the User ID field.

(Optional) Select the Remember me on this computer check box to have Powerpay fill in your company number and user ID automatically the next time you access Powerpay from the same computer.

Click Continue.

Select the method to receive your verification code.

If your preferred verification method is the smartphone App (Twilio Authy), respond to the push notification in the Twilio Authy app.

Enter your verification code.

Click Login.

If your preferred method of verification is email:

Select your email address.
-
Enter the 7-digit code you received by email.

Click Login.

Security Image
- Enter your password and select your security image.
- Click Logon.
