Change the business number

A change to your 9-digit business number will require a new payroll set up so that your payroll history for the old business number is not combined with the new number. Contact your Service Delivery Team as soon as possible if this applies to you.

Advise your Service Delivery Team if this request also involves a company name change.

Note: The introduction of a new business number to accommodate a reduced EI/QPIP rate (with the same 9-digit number) does not require a new payroll set-up. Notify your Service Delivery Team if you are issued a unique extension number for the reduce rate, for example 123456789RP0002.
