Delete custom holiday
Tip: This functionality is available to Powerpay People customers using the Time Off Request module. To request this functionality, contact your Customer Support Team. Service fees apply.
Custom holidays cannot be deleted if they have been used in the duration calculation of a time off request (pending or approved).
Before deleting a custom holiday, you must cancel any pending or approved time off requests that overlap with the holiday. After the holiday is deleted, employees can rebook the time off again if they wish.

Go to the

Select the date on the calendar with the custom holiday.
All pending and approved requests displays in the Event list at the bottom of the page.

Click the trash can icon
to the right of an approved request to delete it.
A confirmation message displays.

Click Cancel Request.

Repeat steps 2 - 4 for all approved requests for the custom holiday date.

Go to the
A table displays all the pending requests.

Review the table to locate any pending time off requests for the custom holiday date.

Click the gear icon
in the Action column for the request on the custom holiday date.
The time off requests details display.

Click Deny.

Repeat steps 2-4 for all pending time off requests for the custom holiday date
3. Notify employees with canceled requests to rebook their time off request, and indicate that the date is no longer being offered as a company holiday.

Go to the

Select the date with the holiday to edit. All events for the selected date display below the calendar in the Events section.
Note: All pending and approved time off requests for the date must be cancelled before you can delete the custom holiday.

Click the Trash Can icon
to delete the custom holiday.
A warning message displays

Click Delete.
The custom holiday is removed from the calendar.
