Assign departments and IDs to employees
After organizing your payroll and entering data on the Departments & IDs window, Departments and IDs must be assigned to employees.
Tasks

- Navigate to the
- Select the person for whom to edit or view distribution and costing options from the People List.
- Go to the Distribution and Costing section.
- Select the Department field as required. You can add a department if the one required is not on the list.

Select the employee's category as required for any of the X, Y or Z fields.
Note: ID codes X, Y and Z are memo fields only unless Advanced Job Costing is enabled.
- Click Save.
