Manage Self Service user accounts

Powerpay Self Service user account management includes the following tasks:

  • unlocking an account

  • disabling / enabling an account
  • resetting a new password for an account
  • forcing a password change for an account
  • forcing a password change for all Self Service users
  • resending a Self Service password to an employee
  • managing usernames and email addresses

  • simulating an employee in Self Service
  • viewing the security event log
  • viewing the Self Service user accounts report

The available tasks are dependent on the employee’s requirements. For example:

  • if an employee’s account is locked the Unlock Self Service option displays.
  • If the employee's account is disabled, the Enable Self Service Account option displays.
  • if an employee has never logged into Self Service, the Re-Welcome option displays.

You can manage Self Service accounts for "active" and "on leave" employees. “Terminated” employees can also be selected for the remainder of the calendar year in which they were terminated. However, the only features available are Simulate and View Security Event Log.
