Log on to Powerpay

Before using Powerpay, you require the following information:

  • Company ID - Your Company ID is provided to you by Ceridian Canada, and cannot be changed. Your Company ID is seven characters.

  • User ID - Your User ID is provided to you by Ceridian Canada, and cannot be changed.

Log on to Powerpay for the first time

Powerpay's secure logon requires that you enter or select the following credentials for access to Powerpay.

  • company number

    Important: The 7-character Company Number for your payroll is required to complete the process. You must have this number to successfully complete the process.

  • user ID

Powerpay uses verification to ensure the security of your payroll data. Logging on correctly is the only way to access your payroll information.

To log on to Powerpay for the first time:

  1. Click the link in step 1 in the Access to Powerpay section of the welcome email.

    A Powerpay logon page opens.

  2. Enter the Company Number associated with your User ID.

  3. Click Submit.

    The Password Restrictions page opens.

  4. Enter a new password. The password must be at least 8 characters in length. For more help with creating a password that meets Powerpay requirements, see Log on to Powerpay and Log on to Powerpay.

  5. Confirm the new password.

  6. Click Continue.

    The Password set up process is complete. You will receive a confirmation email that the password was successfully changed.

  7. Click Continue to login with the new password.

  8. Enter your company number in the Company Number field. Your Company number is seven characters.
  9. Enter your User ID in the User ID field.
  10. (Optional) Select the Remember me on this computer check box to have Powerpay fill in your company number and user ID automatically the next time you access Powerpay from the same computer.

    Note: Do not select this option if you are accessing Powerpay from a public computer.

  11. Click Continue.

    The second Powerpay Logon page opens.

  12. Enter your password and then click Logon.

    Your company is set up to use multifactor authentication or a security image. Follow the directions for your company setup.

  13. Powerpay displays a user license agreement.

  14. Review the agreement and select I accept the terms of the license agreement.

  15. Click Continue.

  16. Powerpay displays a privacy policy.
  17. Select I accept the terms of the Privacy Policy, and then click Continue.

  18. Powerpay opens the Personal Verification Questions page.

  19. Select four or more unique Personal Verification Questions, each with its own answer. You will be required to answer one of these questions during the password recovery process. Use questions to which only you would know the answers. At the same time, make sure you do not use questions to obscure you won't remember the answers a few months from now.

  20. Click Continue.
  21. Powerpay opens and displays the Info Centre page. The Info Centre page contains helpful hints, important dates and other information that can help you with payroll tasks. Information on this page is updated regularly by Ceridian Canada.

You are ready to begin working with Powerpay.

Subsequent log in to Powerpay

  1. Click the Login link on the www.ceridian.com/ca home page.
  2. Click Powerpay Login.

    The PowerpayLog On page opens.

  3. Enter your company number in the Company Number field. Your Company number is seven characters.
  4. Enter your User ID in the User ID field.
  5. (Optional) Select the Remember me on this computer check box to have Powerpay fill in your company number and user ID automatically the next time you access Powerpay from the same computer.

    Note: Do not select this option if you are accessing Powerpay from a public computer.

  6. Click Continue.

    The second Powerpay Logon page opens.
