To Resend a "Welcome" Email
After you enter a new user on the User & Contact Management screen, Powerpay automatically sends an email to that person with their User ID and temporary Reset Password.
In some instances, the new user may not receive that email (e.g. perhaps there was a typo in the email address entered).
As long as the user has never logged into Powerpay, you can resend the “Welcome to Powerpay” email containing the User ID and Reset Password.
- Click the Edit button in the summary list at the right side of the row for the new user.
- The Contact Information and User Maintenance sections of the screen will appear.
- Make sure the user’s email address is correct. Edit it if necessary.
- Click the Submit button.
- Click the Accept button to accept the authorization message that appears.
- A message will appear asking if you would like to resend the “Welcome to Powerpay” email.
- Click the OK button to resend the email. Powerpay will reset the user’s password and resend the email with the new password.
