Step 3a. Customizing Your Deductions and/or Contributions Cycles (Optional)

What do I do once I get there?

You can customize the headings that show on your Deductions & Contributions Cycle screen by renaming Cycles with more user-friendly, descriptive names and choosing which Cycles appear on the screen at all.

Note:  Customizing your Deductions & Contributions Cycle screen is optional.  By default, all Cycles appear on the Deductions & Contributions Cycle screen with the headings Cycle 1, Cycle 2, etc.  If you are comfortable with that, you can leave them as they are.

1. Type a descriptive name into the “Custom Column Description” text box beside any Cycle you’d like to customize.
2. If you do NOT want a Cycle to appear on that screen, click that Cycle’s “Display on Deductions & Contributions Cycle Screen” checkbox to REMOVE the check mark. 
   
   e.g. If you have a bi-weekly payroll, you may wish to only display Cycle 1 (First Pay), Cycle 2 (Second Pay), and Cycle 3 (Third Pay – for those months that have three payrolls).  Since you’ll never use Cycles 4 and 5, there’s no need to display them.
3. Click the Save button.
