What is CanadianSME’s Small Business Show 2026

CanadianSME’s Small Business Show 2026 is one of Canada’s largest single-day events dedicated to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the event brings together thousands of business owners, operators, and leaders to focus on what drives growth for SMBs today: technology, capital, and innovation.

Held in Toronto, the event features keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitors, all centered around practical topics like technology adoption, financial strategy, and business growth. The goal is to give Canadian SMBs actionable insights and connections they can use to run and scale their businesses more effectively.

CanadianSME is a Canadian media and events platform focused on supporting small- and medium-sized businesses through content, community, and in-person experiences. It produces publications, digital content, and national events aimed at helping business owners navigate growth, innovation, and operational challenges. How is Powerpay involved in Small Business Show 2026

Powerpay is participating as a Bronze Sponsor, and our team is looking forward to connecting directly with the Canadian small business community throughout the event. You’ll find the Powerpay team at Booth 26, where attendees can meet with product experts, ask questions, and see how payroll and HR processes can be simplified.

Powerpay will also be hosting a dedicated workshop session, giving attendees a deeper, more practical look at how to improve their back-office administration, one of the most critical, though often frustrating, areas of their business operations. The 30-minute workshop, titled Taming the Payroll Beast: From Headache to Hassle-Free will focus on why payroll becomes a “slog” as businesses scale. It is driven by manual processes, compliance complexity, nationwide hiring challenges, and disconnected systems. Powerpay aims to address those challenges and bring you a sense of ease with stress-free processes over the area of your business that matters most to your workforce.

Attendees of the Powerpay workshop at the Small Business Show 2026 will walk away with a clearer understanding of where payroll friction comes from and how to reduce time spent, minimize errors, and improve visibility into their workforce. This workshop is designed for business owners, operators, HR professionals, and anyone wearing the payroll hat within the organization, whether their title indicates so or not.

Why businesses should go to the Small Business Show 2026

For Canadian SMBs, Small Business Show 2026 offers concentrated access to ideas, peers, and partners in a single day. Instead of navigating growth challenges in isolation, attendees can learn from experts, see how other businesses are solving similar problems, and explore tools that support their next stage of growth.

Whether the focus is improving operations, adopting new technology, or simply finding more efficient ways to run the business, the event is structured to deliver tangible value. If payroll, workforce management, or operational efficiency is on your list, make sure to stop by Booth 26 and attend the Powerpay workshop.
