Step 3. Logging On...Continued

Trouble Logging On?

Powerpay Web will allow you to retrieve a forgotten User ID at any time.  However, you will only be able to retrieve a lost password or security image if you have completed and saved your Personal Verification Questions and Answers within Powerpay (instructions follow in the Logging Off section of this module).  If you have not done so, it will be necessary to contact your Powerpay Customer Care Representative in those cases.

Forgot Your User ID?

To have Powerpay send your User ID to you:

  1. In your Internet browser, go to the first logon screen for Powerpay.
    1. Click on the “Forgot your User ID?” link. 
  2. The Request your User ID screen will appear.
    1. Enter your Company Number and Email Address in the text boxes provided. 
    2. Click the Submit button. 
    3. Powerpay will verify the information you entered and send you an email containing your User ID.

Forgot Your Password?

To have Powerpay send a temporary password to you:

  1. In your Internet browser, go to the first logon screen for Powerpay.
    1. Enter your Company Number and User ID, if necessary.
    2. Click the Continue button.
  2. On the second logon screen, click the “Forgot your password?” link.
  3. The Request your password screen will appear.
    1. Enter your email address in the text box provided and click the Submit button.
  4. Powerpay will display two of the Personal Verification Questions you entered previously.
    1. Type the answer to each question in the text box to its right and click the Submit button.
    2. Powerpay will verify the information you entered and send you an email containing a temporary Reset Password and a reminder of your security image. 

IMPORTANT:  If it is not changed, the Reset Password will expire 24 hours from the time it is sent.


Forgot Your Security Image?

To have Powerpay send your security image to you:

  1. In your Internet browser, go to the first logon screen for Powerpay.
    1. Enter your Company Number and User ID, if necessary.
    2. Click the Continue button.
  2. On the second logon screen, click the “Forgot your Security Image?” link.
  3. The Request your security image screen will appear.
    1. Enter your email address in the text box provided and click the Submit button.
    2. Powerpay will verify the information you entered and send you an email containing a reminder of your security image.
