When you know how many Cycles you'll be using, you can choose which deductions and contributions to be applied for each cycle. You do this by clicking on the checkboxes that correspond to the Cycle and Contribution/Deduction you require.
If you were paying biweekly, for example, you might want to have all your deductions and contributions applied on both of the first two cycles but only your RRSPs taken off on Cycle 3.
In the example below, the permanent Life Insurance deduction is only deducted from your employees on the first pay of each month. In this instance, you would select the Life Insurance deduction on your 1st Cycle but not on your 2nd or 3rd Cycle (for a biweekly payroll).

Tip: If there is an employer contribution and an employee deduction they will both be calculated. Remember that overrides can be keyed at the employee level.
