How does Powerpay Time work?

Powerpay offers flexible options for hourly employee time entry through both the app and self-service web portal. Employees can enter start/end times and breaks and enter comments with their time entries for managers and approvers.

Do employees, managers, and administrators receive notifications from Powerpay Time?

Managers and employees are kept informed with notifications when hours are submitted, approved, or denied. Managers and payroll administrators have access to an easy-to-use dashboard for faster approval of employee hours. 

Can someone else approve requests when a manager is away?

Payroll administrators can review and action time-off for direct reports in the manager's absence to avoid delays. 

Is there a deadline for employees to submit their time?

Yes, you can configure a deadline for changes on payroll submission day. After this, time submissions and self-service changes will not be accepted.   

Can employees request partial days off for time off (i.e., request 2 hours off vs. a full day)?

Partial day requests are available.  Time off can be requested in increments of 15 minutes.  

Can someone else submit a request for an employee if they forget to submit and are away when payroll is being processed?

Yes, the payroll administrator or employee’s manager can submit time off requests on behalf of employees. 

Can managers and administrators see a calendar view of all time-off requests?

A calendar view of time off requests is available for payroll administrators to see all employee requests and managers to see the requests for their teams.
